Dr. Liu obtained her B.S. degree in Biology at Duke University and continued her medical training at Duke University School of Medicine. After completing her internship in Internal Medicine at Duke University Medical Center, Dr. Liu headed for the sunny shores of Los Angeles, to complete her residency in Ophthalmology at the prestigious UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute, where she completed an additional two-year fellowship accredited by the American Society of Ophthalmiic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This accredited fellowship is limited to fewer than 30 surgeons internationally per year and a fellow is only selected to continue at UCLA once every decade, a testament to her extraordinary surgical abilities.
Dr. Liu is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic and Plastic Reconstructive Surgery.
